The Indonesian Raya Christian Movement (GEKIRA) held its 2026 National Working Meeting (Rakernas) in Jakarta. The two-day forum served as a moment for organisational consolidation whilst strengthening support for the government agenda of President Prabowo Subianto. The Rakernas, held on 12-13 June 2026 at the Novotel Pulomas Hotel in East Jakarta, was attended by a number of national figures, ministers, and Gerindra Party leaders. Several strategic national issues were discussed during the event.

Hashim Djojohadikusumo, Chairman of the GEKIRA Board of Trustees and Deputy Chairman of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees, officially opened the event. In his remarks, Hashim assessed that GEKIRA continues to show progress as a party wing organisation actively engaged in various national issues. “I think as a party wing organ, what colleagues at GEKIRA are doing is very positive. This activity is a sign that GEKIRA continues to grow and contribute in supporting the vision of the Gerindra Party and President Prabowo Subianto,” Hashim said on Friday, 13 June 2026.

On that occasion, Hashim also reminded attendees of the importance of the role of party cadres and wing organisations in facing the rampant spread of false information in the public sphere. “GEKIRA is a political organisation, a wing of a political party, with political objectives, not an ordinary association. Therefore, I ask all GEKIRA and Gerindra cadres to be brave in responding to the massive hoaxes and hate speech perpetrated by irresponsible parties,” he stated.

Meanwhile, GEKIRA General Chairman Nikson Silalahi said the Rakernas was a momentum to evaluate the organisation’s programmes and formulate a future work agenda. According to him, the various programmes designed by GEKIRA will be directed towards supporting the national development agenda and strengthening cadre involvement within the community. “In this Rakernas forum, we will formulate priority and national-scale work programmes that are aligned with President Prabowo Subianto’s vision to improve the welfare of the Indonesian people,” Nikson said.

Nikson explained that over the past year, GEKIRA has carried out various social and humanitarian activities in several regions, ranging from a movement to plant one million trees, distributing aid to disaster victims, to social activities during major religious holidays.
