Hashim Djojohadikusumo Appointed President Commissioner of WIFI

Hashim Djojohadikusumo, the younger brother of President Prabowo, has been appointed as the President Commissioner of PT Solusi Sinergi Digital, also known as Surge (WIFI). He fills the position previously held by Hermansjah Haryono. The decision was taken during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (RUPST) held on 30 June 2026. The RUPST also appointed Fadel Muhammad as Commissioner, Hendrik Tee as President Director, and Henny Santoso as Director of the company. “The appointment reflects the company’s commitment to further strengthening leadership and corporate governance,” said Surge Director Shannedy Ong in an Indonesia Stock Exchange disclosure on Wednesday, 1 July 2026. According to Shannedy, with a more solid composition of the Board of Directors and Board of Commissioners, the company is in a stronger position to improve the quality of strategic decision-making, strategy execution, governance, and oversight functions. He stated that this also supports sustainable growth and the creation of long-term value for shareholders and all stakeholders. In addition to the appointments, the RUPST also approved the use of the 2025 financial year net profit of Rp 632.9 billion. The profit will be used for a dividend payout of Rp 2 per share for the 2025 financial year, as well as a reserve fund of Rp 1 billion. Prior to his appointment as President Commissioner, Hashim was an investor in Surge. On 15 October 2025, Surge’s subsidiary, PT Telemedia Komunikasi, was appointed by the government as one of two companies to win the tender for the use of the 1.4 Ghz FWA frequency band. Surge subsequently launched Internet Rakyat (IRA) on 12 November 2025.
