Hashim Denies Share Ownership in FolaPlay
The Vice President of Corporate Communications for Arsari Group, Ariseno Ridhwan, has responded to reports linking Hashim S. Djojorkanikusumo to PT Folago Global Nusantara Tbk (FolaPlay), stating that such claims are untrue. Ariseno also emphasised that allegations regarding the use of the state budget for Hashim’s personal interests are also false.
“We deny this information because it is untrue, baseless, and not supported by verifiable facts,” he stated in a written statement on Monday (29/06/2026).
He asserted that neither Hashim nor the Arsari Group holds any shares in PT Folago Global Nusantara Tbk (FolaPlay). Furthermore, Hashim has no involvement, whether directly or indirectly, as a shareholder, controlling shareholder, beneficial owner, director, or advisor to PT Folago Global Nusantara Tbk.
“Consequently, the allegation that the state budget used for the organisation and broadcasting of the 2026 World Cup was intended to enrich or benefit Mr Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo is misleading information and is not supported by verifiable facts,” he said.
He noted that while he respects press freedom and the right of every citizen to express opinions as part of a democratic life, such freedom must be exercised responsibly, prioritising accuracy, verification, and good faith when conveying information to the public.
“We have also observed that recently, various inaccurate, speculative, and defamatory information has frequently been directed at Mr Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo. The spread of baseless accusations without clear grounds or adequate evidence not only harms the accused party but also has the potential to mislead the public,” he explained.
He urged the public to be more wise, critical, and responsible in receiving and disseminating information in the public sphere. Fact-checking and the use of credible sources are essential steps to maintain the quality of public discourse and prevent the spread of hoaxes, disinformation, or misleading information.
“Ultimately, we all share the same responsibility to help educate the nation. A healthy public sphere can only be realised if every party prioritises facts, common sense, and good faith when conveying or spreading information. We hope that public discourse can be built upon accountable facts and data, rather than assumptions or opinion-shaping that has the potential to mislead the community,” he concluded.
