Hashim Denies Share Ownership in FolaPlay

VP Corporate Communications of Arsari Group, Ariseno Ridhwan, has responded to reports linking Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo to PT Folago Global Nusantara Tbk (FolaPlay), stating they are untrue. Ariseno also stressed that accusations regarding the use of state funds for Hashim’s personal gain are also false. “We refute this information because it is incorrect, baseless, and not supported by verifiable facts,” he asserted in a written statement on Monday (29/6/2026). He emphasised that neither Hashim nor Arsari Group holds any share ownership in PT Folago Global Nusantara Tbk (FolaPlay). Furthermore, Hashim has no involvement, either directly or indirectly, as a shareholder, controlling shareholder, beneficial owner, management member, or advisor of PT Folago Global Nusantara Tbk. “Therefore, the accusation that the state budget used in the organisation and broadcasting of the 2026 World Cup was intended to enrich or benefit Mr Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo is misleading information and not supported by verifiable facts,” he said. He also stated that while he respects press freedom and the right of every citizen to express opinions as part of democratic life, such freedoms must be exercised responsibly by prioritising accuracy, verification, and good faith in conveying information to the public. “We have also observed that recently, various inaccurate, speculative, and defamatory pieces of information have frequently been directed at Mr Hashim S. Djojohadikusumo. The spread of baseless accusations without adequate evidence not only harms the accused party but also has the potential to mislead the public,” he explained. He called on the entire community to be wiser, more critical, and more responsible in receiving and disseminating information circulating in the public sphere. Fact verification and the use of credible sources are important steps to maintain the quality of public discourse and prevent the spread of hoaxes, disinformation, or misleading information. “Ultimately, we all share the same responsibility to help educate the nation. A healthy public sphere can only be realised if all parties prioritise facts, common sense, and good faith in conveying and disseminating information. We hope that public discourse can be built on accountable facts and data, not on assumptions or opinion manipulation that could potentially mislead the public,” he concluded.
