Hasanuddin University expands student internship opportunities in Japan
Makassar — Hasanuddin University (Unhas) has entered into an international partnership with Japanese companies Atago Co., Ltd. and BESTie Co., Ltd. to expand internship opportunities for students in the country.
Vice-Rector for Partnership, Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Business at Unhas, Prof. Dr. Adi Maulana, stated in Makassar on Wednesday that collaboration with international industry partners represents a strategic step by Unhas in improving educational quality whilst expanding opportunities for students to gain global experience.
“This partnership opens broader opportunities for Unhas students, particularly from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, to gain direct experience in the Japanese industrial environment,” he said.
“Through this programme, students not only learn about the workplace, but also understand professional culture and global work ethics that are crucial for facing international competition,” said Prof. Adi.
“This programme gives students the opportunity to learn directly from industrial practices in Japan. We believe this experience will help them develop professional skills whilst broadening their global perspective,” said Kunio Inokuchi.
CEO of BESTie Co., Ltd., Yuki Matsumoto stated that the internship programme is designed as a direct learning space for students to understand the dynamics of Japan’s industry.
“Through this experience, students not only develop language abilities, but also build understanding of how to work in cross-cultural teams,” said Yuki Matsumoto.
