Hasanuddin Debarkation Serves 1,949 Elderly Hajj Pilgrims

Makassar (ANTARA) - The Hasanuddin Makassar Debarkation has served a total of 1,949 elderly Hajj pilgrims up to the return of the 28th flight group, prioritising the best possible service.

“The Hasanuddin Makassar Debarkation continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing the best service for Hajj pilgrims, including elderly pilgrims, who number 1,949 up to the 28th group,” explained Ikbal Ismail, Head of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Regional Office for South Sulawesi, in Makassar on Sunday.

He noted that some of the elderly pilgrims were received today at the Hasanuddin Debarkation as part of the 28th group, which brought 393 pilgrims and officials from Gorontalo Province.

The aircraft carrying the 28th group landed at Hasanuddin Airport in the afternoon, followed by the next group. The pilgrims arrived safely as part of the series of returning Indonesian Hajj pilgrims through the Hasanuddin Debarkation.

In addition to serving the arrival of regular pilgrims, debarkation officers also paid special attention to elderly pilgrims by ensuring health services, assistance, and a comfortable and safe arrival process.

Group 28 also recorded a diversity of pilgrim ages. The youngest pilgrim was Barraq Akmal Laleno from Gorontalo, aged 17, while the oldest was Salim Potutu Tomayahu, also from Gorontalo, aged 85.
