Jakarta - Former Head of the Presidential Communications Office, Hasan Nasbi, has rejoined the government. Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has officially inaugurated Hasan Nasbi as Special Presidential Advisor for Communications. Kompas.com observations at the Palace in Jakarta on Monday (27/4/2026) showed Hasan Nasbi wearing a black suit and light blue tie, alongside other officials to be inaugurated. The inauguration of Hasan Nasbi was carried out based on Presidential Decree 53/P of 2026 on the Appointment of Special Presidential Advisor for Communications. “Established in Jakarta, 27 April 2026, President Prabowo Subianto,” it stated. Subsequently, Prabowo administered the oath to Hasan Nasbi and his colleagues, according to their respective religions. Hasan Nasbi had previously served in Prabowo’s cabinet as Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) or Presidential Communications Office. He then resigned. However, that resignation was rejected by Prabowo. The PCO he led was then transformed into the Government Communications Agency (Bakom). Now, Hasan Nasbi has returned as an aide to the President.
