Hasan Nasbi Clarifies His Role at Restricted Cabinet Meeting with Prabowo in Hambalang

Former Presidential Chief of Staff coordinator Hasan Nasbi was seen attending a restricted cabinet meeting (ratas) with President Prabowo Subianto at his residence in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java. The moment was shared on the Cabinet Secretariat’s official account on the evening of Monday, 9 March 2026. Nasbi was seated next to the Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP) Muhammad Qodari.

Nasbi stated that he merely listened during the meeting. The restricted meeting discussed national strategic measures and preparations ahead of Hari Raya.

“I just listened yesterday,” Nasbi said when contacted on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.

Nasbi clarified that he did not offer suggestions during the meeting. He was only tasked with taking notes.

“I wasn’t involved in giving suggestions or input, just note-taking,” he added.

Nasbi also declined to clarify his official capacity at the meeting. “Just as a meeting participant,” he said.

President Prabowo Subianto convened several ministers from the Red and White Cabinet for the restricted meeting in Hambalang, Bogor, West Java. The meeting focused on national strategic measures and preparations for Hari Raya celebrations.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya revealed that the meeting addressed progress and evaluation of programmes including food self-sufficiency and energy self-sufficiency initiatives.

“This strategic meeting was focused on two main government agendas: assessing progress and evaluating programme development. Food self-sufficiency and energy self-sufficiency as well as petroleum,” Teddy wrote.

The meeting was attended by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman, and Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono.

Also present were Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency Nusron Wahid, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Commander of the Armed Forces General Agus Subiyanto, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
