Hasan Nasbi Called to Palace by Prabowo
Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto called former Presidential Communication Office (PCO) chief Hasan Nasbi to the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday, 12 February 2026, though the former official declined to provide details of their discussion.
Other officials present at the palace included Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia and Presidential Chief of Staff M. Qodari.
“I do not know why I was called; apparently there is an agenda, an agenda with the president,” Hasan told journalists.
Hasan acknowledged he was unaware of the reason for his summons by Prabowo. However, he dismissed suggestions that the meeting concerned a possible return to the Red and White Cabinet.
“There has been no discussion about that (entering the cabinet), no conversation about it yet. We shall see,” Hasan stated.
This was the second time Prabowo had called Hasan for meetings. Previously, he was summoned to a presidential meeting in Hambalang, Bogor, on Monday, 9 March 2026. According to Hasan, that discussion focused on current conditions surrounding geopolitical tensions.
“Just topics on current conditions. We have external conflicts, wars happening, and how Indonesia should respond to ensure we do not become trapped in a crisis — what are the solutions, and so on. But the ministers are the ones speaking; I just listen. I am not speaking myself,” Hasan explained.
