Hasan: Corruption Eradication Continues in Line with President's Commitment

Presidential Special Adviser for Communication Hasan Nasbi has stated that corruption eradication will continue in Indonesia in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment. “Corruption eradication is the President’s major commitment. One of the major wars declared by the President is the eradication of corruption,” said Hasan Nasbi, responding to journalists’ questions before a limited meeting with the President at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta on Wednesday. Given the President’s commitment, he explained, anti-corruption efforts will proceed without suspension. Hasan Nasbi’s statement addressed questions regarding an alleged criminal case of corruption and money laundering being handled by the Indonesian National Police, which was subsequently transferred to the Attorney General’s Office. Asked further about the military guarding the residence of suspect FA, which has drawn public attention, Hasan stated that this was in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2025 concerning State Protection for Prosecutors in Carrying Out the Duties and Functions of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia. “At that time, the President issued the letter to ensure the smooth execution of law enforcement duties in the field, so there would be no disruption. So, for law enforcement in the field, they are accompanied by the TNI/Polri,” Hasan explained. Met after a meeting at the Parliament Building in Jakarta today, Prasetyo said the letter was sent on Tuesday and is now being followed up as the basis for issuing a presidential decree. “As of yesterday, the Attorney General has officially sent a letter to the President to propose a replacement name for the Jampidsus official who recently submitted his resignation,” said Prasetyo, who also serves as Presidential Spokesperson.
