Hasan: Corruption Eradication Continues in Line with President's Commitment

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Presidential Special Advisor for Communications Hasan Nasbi has said that corruption eradication will continue in Indonesia in line with President Prabowo Subianto’s commitment.

“Corruption eradication is the President’s major commitment. One of the great wars declared by the President is the eradication of corruption,” said Hasan Nasbi in response to journalists’ questions before a limited meeting with the President at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Given the President’s commitment, he explained, efforts to combat corruption will continue without suspension.

Hasan Nasbi’s statement came in response to questions regarding an alleged corruption and money laundering case handled by the Indonesian National Police (Polri), whose handling was subsequently transferred to the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung).

Asked further about the TNI guarding of FA’s house, which has drawn public attention, Hasan stated that this was in accordance with Presidential Regulation Number 66 of 2025 on State Protection for Prosecutors in Carrying Out the Duties and Functions of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia.

“At the time, the President issued that regulation to ensure the smooth running of law enforcers’ duties in the field, so that there would be no interference. So, for law enforcement in the field, they are accompanied by the TNI/Polri,” Hasan explained.

Approached after a meeting at the DPR building in Jakarta today, Prasetyo said the letter was sent on Tuesday (14 July) and is now being followed up as the basis for issuing a presidential decree (Keppres).

“As of yesterday, the Attorney General has officially sent a letter to the President to propose a replacement for the head of the special corruption prosecution unit (Jampidsus), who submitted his resignation some time ago,” said Prasetyo, who also serves as Presidential Spokesperson.
