Hartati Murdaya, repent!
Hartati Murdaya, repent!
From Sinar Pagi
Mrs. Siti Hartati Murdaya's TV appearance on Nov. 16 angered and amused me at the same time (TVRI's Dialog Khusus or Special Dialog program).
It is ridiculous that as a member of the Supreme Advisory Council (DPA) she confessed she was not well-versed in politics and that during the dialog she gave the impression of not knowing about the upheavals taking place in this country. Everybody knows of her close relationship with the authorities and the military since the New Order era.
It infuriates me that in each of her appearances she says she represents the Buddhist community. My question to her: What Buddhist community do you represent?
I am fed up that your statements on behalf of the Buddhist community are merely for your personal interests and ambition. It is more fitting to call you a sower of discord in the Buddhist community.
With all kinds of subterfuge and schemes, you also managed to dissolve the old Walubi and replace it with the new Walubi, giving yourself the position of chairwoman. You may have received legitimacy from the authorities but you will never get it from us, the Buddhist community.
I can only implore you to repent immediately. If you confess you are a Buddhist then you certainly know the law of karma and the way it works. Having gained satisfaction from playing tricks with the Buddhist community, do not do the same to students by charging that their actions are financed and triggered by other parties.
The student movement is to give genuine expression to the people's voice. If, during their actions, the students receive aid in logistics and other articles it is proof of the people's sincere spontaneity to support them. Unlike your good self who, in giving aid to the poor, only wants to be in the spotlight for egotistical reasons.
