Hariyanto Arbi, Susi Susanti top IBF men's, women's lists

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's Hariyanto Arbi returned to the top
of the International Badminton Federation (IBF) men's singles
world rankings Wednesday. China's Sun Jun is now second, while
Denmark's Peter Rasmussen fell to sixth after losing the Danish
Open recently.

Hariyanto, who was Indonesia's hero in the just concluded SEA
Games, has 273.9 points, 0.63 more than Sun. Olympic gold
medalist Poul-Erik Hoyer-Larsen is third with 272.26 points.

In the women's singles ranking, Indonesia's Susi Susanti
remains top with 321.51 points, followed by China's Ye Zhaoying
with 321.15 and compatriot Gong Zhichao with 306.56. Indonesia's
best hope for the future, Mia Audina, is only sixth with 242.57
points.

In the women's doubles, China's unbeatable pair of Ge Fei and
Gu Jun is first. Antara reported that in the men's doubles, South
Koreans Lee Dong-soo and Yoo Yong-sung replaced Indonesia's
Candra Wijaya and Sigit Budiarto in the top position. (yan)
