Hardiknas: Munjirin Emphasises Collaboration to Advance Education Quality
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta East City Government (Pemkot Jaktim) emphasised the importance of collaboration among all parties to revive cultural values while advancing national education quality in commemorating the 67th National Education Day (Hardiknas). “Happy National Education Day 2026. Let us strengthen cooperation to realise quality education for all towards an intelligent, advanced, and dignified Indonesia,” said Jakarta East Mayor Munjirin at the Jakarta East Mayor’s Office courtyard on Monday. During the ceremony, Munjirin read a speech from the Minister of Basic and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Abdul Mu’ti, regarding the essence of education as a sincere process to humanise humans. Under the theme “Strengthening Universal Participation to Realise Quality Education for All”, the Hardiknas commemoration is expected to serve as a moment for deep reflection to revive the spirit of national education. “The National Education Day commemoration is a momentum for us to reflect, reaffirm, and revive the spirit of national education; in essence, education is a process carried out sincerely, full of love and affection to humanise humans,” explained Munjirin. This aligns with the foundation laid by Ki Hajar Dewantara through the Among system, namely the principles of asah (knowledge), asih (affection), and asuh (guidance). To realise a solid education ecosystem, the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education is now integrating four main pillars: schools, families, society, and media. Nevertheless, Munjirin asserted that the government cannot advance education quality alone without collaborative support from the business world and related institutions. “The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education cannot work alone without support from society, the business world, and institutions committed to advancing education,” said Munjirin. Furthermore, Munjirin underlined that the success of education policies greatly depends on the 3M principles: mindset (advanced thinking), mental (strong mentality), and misi (clear mission). “Without these three basic elements, education programmes will only become formalities,” said Munjirin. This year’s Hardiknas commemoration ceremony was attended by hundreds of Civil Servants (ASN) and Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) in the Jakarta East City Government environment.
