Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya supports educational communities in continuing to collaborate with the government on various efforts to advance education in the country.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy stated in an official statement in Jakarta on Saturday that President Prabowo, during the National Education Day (Hardiknas) commemoration on Saturday, conveyed a message to activists, volunteers, and everyone involved in education to always remain healthy and continue creating for Indonesia’s young generation.

“Because this is an important day, Education Day, because education is important. The President, one of his largest programmes is investment in the education sector,” he said.

Cabinet Secretary Teddy continued that they greatly need input from educational communities, including volunteers and activists, in the form of suggestions, feedback, and even corrections, so that the government and community activists can walk hand in hand together.

He stated that advancing education cannot be done by the government alone but requires cooperation with educational communities that interact directly and have close connections with Indonesian children.

In particular, he emphasised that President Prabowo wants all Indonesian children to have equal opportunities to access decent education.

To that end, the Sekolah Rakyat was born, which has been running for nearly a year, particularly targeting children from vulnerable groups.

The results, according to Teddy, show that some Sekolah Rakyat students have achieved accomplishments at regional and national levels.

This demonstrates that if those children are given opportunities, they can achieve success and a better future.

“Today, the state is increasingly present, especially in the education sector, not just on paper, but policies are present in classrooms alongside all existing educational communities,” said Teddy Indra Wijaya.
