Various policies to improve education quality will not materialise without the 3M: an advanced mindset, strong mental fortitude, and a clear mission, stated Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Mu’ti, as reported by Antara on Saturday (2/4/2026). This was conveyed through his speech on the commemoration of National Education Day (Hardiknas). Mu’ti explained that without these three elements, all existing policies would merely halt as programmes and formalities, marked only by quantitative achievements. On the other hand, in line with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution and the National Education System Law Number 20 of 2003, Mu’ti interpreted education as a process of enlightening life, building character and national civilisation. He viewed education as a process of developing human potential to become individuals who are faithful and devout to the Almighty God, of noble character, intelligent, skilled, independent, physically and spiritually healthy, honest, responsible, democratic, and possessing other superior traits. “In accordance with President Prabowo Subianto’s Asta Cita, education is a collective effort to build superior, strong, and resilient Indonesian human resources to make Indonesia an advanced, prosperous, and dignified nation,” he said. Therefore, he expressed appreciation and thanks to partner institutions both domestically and internationally that have collaborated well with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. In eighteen months, he stated, the Ministry has laid the foundation for quality education for all through various regulations and an ecosystem that integrates four education centres: schools, families, society, and media.
