Hanura Task Force Targets Organisational Consolidation Completion by September 2026

The Chairman of the Hanura Party Central Executive Board (DPP) Task Force, Patrice Rio Capella, is targeting the completion of organisational structure consolidation across Indonesia by September 2026. Rio stated that the consolidation is being carried out early to give the party sufficient time to prepare a winning strategy for the 2029 General Election. “The Task Force has set a schedule to work quickly. By the end of September, everything is expected to be finished. So we can prepare ourselves to face the election from the outset,” Rio said during a Consolidation and Technical Meeting for the Regency/City DPC Task Force Team throughout North Sumatra at Le Polonia Hotel, Medan, North Sumatra, on Monday, 10 August 2026. According to Rio, once the organisational structure consolidation is complete, Hanura will no longer focus on internal improvements. The party will begin mapping electoral districts (dapil), including determining figures with the potential to run as legislative candidates. “We will conduct surveys in the electoral districts so that we can place candidates who are known in that dapil, candidates who master the dapil, and candidates who are ready to fight in the 2029 General Election,” he said. Rio stated that Hanura is targeting all organisational consolidation issues to be resolved by 2026. Consequently, by 2027, the party structure is targeted to be fully ready to operate in every electoral district. “In 2027, the structure will be 100 percent ready so that we can leave the nest and move in every electoral district, both for the DPR RI and the provincial and regency/city DPRD,” he said. During the consolidation process, the Task Force is also preparing sanctions for administrators deemed unable to execute the party’s agenda according to the target. Rio cited the example of two DPC chairmen, from Pandeglang and Serang City, who were dismissed for slow progress. “When they move slowly, it disrupts the rhythm of the others. It is like being on a toll road; we want to go fast, but one slow car can cause an accident for the others. Rather than letting them cause problems for other provinces or regencies, we dismiss them,” he asserted. On the same occasion, the Chairman of the Hanura Party’s North Sumatra Regional Executive Board (DPD), El Adrian Shah, opened the possibility of reshuffling the management after the consolidation is carried out. El stated that an evaluation of the management ranks is necessary so that the DPD structure is filled by cadres who have commitment and are able to work together to grow Hanura in North Sumatra.
