Jakarta - The Central Executive Board of the Hanura Party has denied accusations that it owns foundations affiliated with the management of the Free Nutritious Meal Service Unit kitchens. The party has dismissed as hoaxes social media claims regarding ‘two foundations owned by the Hanura Party’ involved in managing the programme. Deputy Chair for Law, Human Rights, and People’s Advocacy Adil Supatra Akbar stated the party deemed it necessary to issue an official clarification to the public as a form of moral and political responsibility to maintain the party’s integrity and good name. The board, represented by the Secretary General and Deputy Chair for Law and People’s Advocacy, also visited the Indonesia Corruption Watch office to provide a direct clarification. Following the clarification, ICW had never listed or mentioned ‘two Hanura Party foundations’ in its published research documents. Adil explained that the information circulating on social media is substantially different from ICW’s official research findings. The ICW report notes that founders, administrators, or supervisors of a foundation can be affiliated with different parties, meaning a foundation can be counted towards the affiliation of more than one party. The investigation also found four legislative members for the 2024–2029 period who are part of foundations partnering with the MBG programme, including Raden Ayu Amrina Rosyada, an Ogan Ilir Regional House of Representatives member from Hanura, registered as a founder of Yayasan Sahabat Pelangi. Adil stated that her involvement in the MBG management was a personal action with no organisational connection to the Hanura Party. He added that the foundation is not a Hanura-owned entity, calling accusations to the contrary false and misleading. The party confirmed it will summon Raden Ayu Amrina Rosyada through the Party Honour Council to seek an official explanation, promising strict sanctions for any cadre acting outside their party and state duties. Hanura emphasised that it views the MBG programme as a strategic initiative important for strengthening Indonesia’s human resources and urged strengthened governance, transparency, professionalism, and oversight in its implementation.
