Hanoi records over 21 million tourist arrivals

According to the Hanoi Department of Tourism, as reported by the local newspaper Lao Dong on Thursday (30/7), the Vietnamese capital welcomed approximately 21.16 million tourist arrivals during the first seven months of 2026, marking a 15 per cent increase compared to the same period last year. Of this total, international arrivals reached 5.31 million, a 25 per cent rise, while domestic tourism reached 15.85 million, up 11.9 per cent year-on-year. Tourism revenue during this period is estimated to have reached 86.47 trillion Vietnamese dong (approximately 3.4 billion USD), representing a 17.9 per cent annual increase. Dang Huong Giang, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, stated that the city will continue to develop agriculture, rural, and community-based tourism products starting in August, whilst simultaneously organising tourism promotion programmes and participating in international tourism exhibitions.
