Hannah-Asa Indonesia Expands Legal Investment Access for the Younger Generation
The Hannah Asa Indonesia community is partnering with various parties to expand the younger generation’s access to legal, inclusive, and education-based investment. “Digital literacy must go hand in hand with financial literacy,” said Hannah Asa Indonesia Founder Mardiyah in Palu, Central Sulawesi, on Friday. She stated that the future challenge for the younger generation is not only mastering technology but also being able to manage finances wisely. Therefore, she said, digital literacy and financial literacy must go hand in hand so that the younger generation can make decisions based on adequate data and knowledge. She said this effort is being realised, among others, through a collaboration with the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) Central Sulawesi Representative Office, Mandiri Sekuritas, and the Faculty of Engineering at Tadulako University in organising the Batch 81 Smart Financial Journey Bootcamp, which was coupled with the first collective Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) transaction for 100 new investors in Central Sulawesi. According to her, the activity aims not only to record investment transactions but also to build a sustainable financial literacy movement amidst the rapid digital transformation of the financial sector and the increasing number of capital market investors in Indonesia. Mardiyah explained that the first collective ETF transaction involving 100 new investors is an effort to open more opportunities for the younger generation to understand that investment must begin with knowledge, not just following trends. She emphasised that the first collective ETF transaction in Central Sulawesi is not the end of an activity, but rather the beginning of a larger movement to expand financial literacy, strengthen capital market inclusion, and build a more financially intelligent society. According to her, her party is committed to continuing to present innovations in data-based financial education, expanding access to financial literacy, and encouraging the birth of a generation capable of making financial decisions intelligently, critically, and responsibly. She also stressed that change does not always have to start from the centre. From Central Sulawesi, she said, innovation, collaboration, and movements to improve public financial intelligence can continue to be built to support a better future. Based on data from Hannah Asa Indonesia, from January to July 2026, it has reached more than 598,000 Indonesians through various educational channels. This number consists of 8,793 participants through message and media-based education, 2,598 participants through face-to-face education, 744 participants through the Learning Management System (LMS), and 586,840 participants through various digital platforms. Meanwhile, Head of the BEI Central Sulawesi Representative Office Putri Irnawati appreciated the collaboration carried out by the community with Mandiri Sekuritas and the Faculty of Engineering at Tadulako University in introducing ETF instruments to the public. “This activity can increase public understanding of various capital market investment products,” she said. She stated that the collaboration introduces Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) instruments to the younger generation so that the public becomes more familiar with various investment options that can be utilised legally, safely, and responsibly. She hopes that similar collaborations can continue to be expanded so that more educational institutions, communities, and young people become familiar with various investment instruments in the Indonesian capital market. ETF is one of the investment instruments in the capital market that combines the principles of diversification, transparency, and ease of transaction through the Indonesia Stock Exchange.
