Hankook Distributes Eid al-Adha Sacrificial Animals to Residents Near Bekasi Factory
PT Hankook Tire Indonesia has again distributed sacrificial animals to local residents near its factory operations in Cicau Village, Cikarang Pusat District, Bekasi Regency, during the 1447 Hijri Eid al-Adha celebrations. The annual tradition forms part of the company’s efforts to strengthen ties with the surrounding community and share joy during Eid al-Adha. This year, Hankook donated eight cows and six goats, totalling approximately 3.5 tonnes. The animals were distributed via the village government and local mosque authorities for distribution to residents. Additionally, one cow was donated to a mosque within the Ministry of Trade’s premises. Hankook Tire Indonesia’s President Director, Jung Jinkyun, symbolically presented the sacrificial animals to Cicau Village Head, Maman Fahlevi. During the event, Jung stated that the Qurban initiative is part of the company’s commitment to grow alongside the local community. “Through this initiative, we are committed to strengthening relations with the local community and sharing joy during Eid al-Adha,” Jung said in a statement. He added that as a company operating in Indonesia, Hankook aims to maintain unity through sustainable social initiatives. In addition to the donation, several Hankook employees participated in the slaughtering and distribution of the meat to residents. Their involvement forms part of efforts to build closer ties between the company and local residents. Cicau Village Head Maman Fahlevi expressed appreciation for the company’s consistent contributions to the local community. “We thank PT Hankook Tire Indonesia for its consistent support to Cicau Village residents. This initiative not only assists the community during Eid al-Adha but also strengthens the relationship between the company and local residents,” he said.
