Hands-on Tecno Camon 50 Pro 5G, a Lightweight and Elegant Mid-range Smartphone
KOMPAS.com — A lightweight and elegant mid-range phone. That was my first impression when holding the Tecno Camon 50 Pro 5G.
The elegant feel comes from the back with a clean look. There are no flashy accents or ornate decorations. There are only four camera lenses, one indicator light, and a LED flash.
Under the camera module there is the ‘Tecno Camon’ logo, but the text is faint, blending with the back colour and only visible when viewed from certain angles.
Coincidentally, I received the Nebula Titanium colour variant. The shell finish is matte and fairly smooth.
This becomes an issue, really. For the phone is very light.
As a result, the phone is prone to slipping or dropping when the palm is wet or slippery. Especially if you do not protect the phone with an additional case.
On the other hand, its light weight makes usage easier, including operating the screen with one adult hand. The compact body dimensions also make it comfortable to grip.
Particularly when accustomed to taking photos using landscape technique. I tend to rest the weight of the phone on my little finger when shooting landscapes.
Thanks to its rounded corners and light weight, the fingers don’t feel much strain.
Still on the back appearance. I’m not quite sure what material Tecno used for the back. However, this material is quite common in mid-range phones.
Surely, the back is not easy to scratch. This is different from the material on the Tecno Megapad SE tablet that I held a while ago. That entry-level tablet was quite easy to scratch, even with just the tip of a fingernail.
