The handover ceremony (sertijab) for the National Police Chief from General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to General Suyudi Ario Seto will be held this Friday (2/10).
Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, Head of Public Relations for the Indonesian National Police, stated that the series of handover events will commence at 14:00 WIB.
“Yes, the event will begin at the Bhayangkara field at approximately 14:00 with the traditional ceremony for the handover of the Indonesian National Police banners and a farewell parade,” said Trunoyudo when contacted on Friday morning.
Trunoyudo added that the activities will continue at 15:00 WIB with the official duty escort for Sigit and Dedi. This will be followed by the traditional farewell ceremony for Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and Police General Dedi Prasetyo at 17:00 WIB.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated Commissioner General Suyudi Ario Seto as the National Police Chief on Thursday (1/10). Suyudi succeeds Listyo, who has served as the National Police Chief since 27 January 2021, following his inauguration by the seventh President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
The decision is based on Presidential Decrees Number 96 and 97/TK/2026 regarding the Dismissal and Appointment of the Chief of the Indonesian National Police and the Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police.
During the ceremony, President Prabowo also inaugurated Commissioner General Wahyu Hadiningrat as the Deputy National Police Chief, replacing Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo. Wahyu previously served as the Senior Assistant for General Planning and Budgeting (Astamarena) of the National Police. Meanwhile, Dedi has been appointed by President Prabowo Subianto as the Head of the National Agrarian Reform Agency.
