Hanbo's bankruptcy
Hanbo's bankruptcy
From Merdeka
It seems that Kim junior (Kim Hyun-chul) has forgotten that
his beloved father, South Korean President Kim Young-sam, is a
public figure. A state leader is the property of the people, he
becomes a model of the public from the moment he is sworn in as
president.
President Kim Young-sam lived in accordance with his position,
he rightfully mirrors the status of a public figure, he will
always be at the center of public attention and in the delicate
hands of the law.
It has to be admitted in all honesty that the Hanbo incident
disclosed how deep corruption and political intrigue is rooted in
the people.
Seen at a cursory glance, the origin of the Hanbo conglomerate
insolvency scandal (Merdeka, Feb. 26, 1997) is related to
various aspects, such as a poor banking system, which appears to
be universal. This further implies that the function of
statesmanship is not on par with a strict subsystem control,
attracted and caught in various interests of a personal nature,
lineage, including supportive politically related groups.
Historical experience in many countries has proven that
"historical justice between generations" tends to feature a cruel
trend that is totally without mercy; this too seems to be
universal.
The real reason is that the rank of a public figure reflects
the toil of the majority, without thorough consideration for the
prevailing ruling system.
It is hoped that the bitter pill the South Korean nation had
to swallow might be a lesson to Indonesia, so that this country
could implement order in its state political system as it enters
the 21st century.
