The Jakarta Regional Police Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimum) has formally detained the Director of PT Khazanah Tamma Internasional (Hanania Group), identified as ASF. The detention follows allegations of fraud and embezzlement of funds related to Umrah pilgrimage packages, with total losses amounting to Rp12.14 billion.

Police Public Relations Chief of Jakarta Regional Police, Commissioner Budi Hermanto, confirmed that ASF was designated as a suspect on Friday, 29 May 2026. Following this designation, investigators immediately carried out the detention.

“ASF was designated as a suspect on 29 May 2026, and subsequently detained at the Directorate of Detention and Evidence of Jakarta Regional Police,” Budi stated in Jakarta on Saturday, 30 May.

Budi explained that police have received two official reports regarding Hanania Group’s activities. The first report was filed by a complainant identified as JSP, representing approximately 128 victims, with estimated total losses of Rp12.14 billion.

The modus operandi involved victims depositing payment for Umrah packages with Hanania Group, but the pilgrims were never sent to the Holy Land as promised.

“Regarding the JSP report, the case has progressed to the investigation stage. Investigators have examined 33 witnesses from the complainants and registered victims,” Budi explained.

In addition to the JSP report, police are also processing a second report from a complainant identified as NN. This report concerns two pilgrims who paid for Umrah packages worth Rp78.8 million but failed to depart. The case is currently in the investigation phase.

Investigators are currently finalising the case file by gathering additional witness statements, interrogating the suspect, and securing supporting evidence.
