'Hamemayu Hayuning Bawono', Police Chief Emphasises Spirit of Harmony in Mapolda DIY Development
As per the development theme of Mapolda DIY, namely ‘Mbangun Bhayangkara Presisi, Hamemayu Hayuning Bawono’, which means preserving, improving, and creating beauty and harmony in community life. This value aligns with Tribrata and Catur Prasetya,” stated General Sigit after laying the foundation stone for Mapolda DIY on Sunday (3/5/2026).
It is known that Tribrata serves as the moral guideline and ethical foundation for Polri members. Catur Prasetya is the operational pledge in carrying out police duties.
The Police Chief hopes that Polda DIY can increasingly provide optimal services to the community. He also mentioned Yogyakarta as a city of culture, tourism, and education.
“We hope that Polda DIY in the future can provide optimal services to the Yogyakarta community, which is known as a city of culture, a tourism city, and an education city. This certainly must be supported by the readiness of personnel as well as adequate facilities and infrastructure,” he said.
In addition, he expressed thanks to all parties who have assisted in the development of Mapolda DIY.
“Once again, we express our thanks for the support and cooperation of all stakeholders, as well as the great hopes of the Yogyakarta community that Polri can become increasingly professional, close, and loved by the community,” he said.
Collaboration of All Parties
The Police Chief conveyed that the development of Mapolda DIY is a collaboration of all parties. The construction of the building originated from assistance by the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, which was then followed up and built with support from various parties.
“The land for the development of Polda DIY is assistance from Ngarsa Dalem, the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, from Sultan Ground, which was then followed up through a letter of agreement,” stated General Sigit.
“Thus, formally, it has met the requirements to be built by Polri through a mechanism funded by the APBN,” he said.
The Police Chief thanked all supporting parties. According to him, all parties have collaborated until the realisation of Mapolda DIY.
“We also express our thanks because the development of Polda DIY is not only carried out by Polri, but from the beginning has involved the roles of regents, mayors, banking parties, and various other stakeholders. This is a form of collaboration and joint support in realising the development,” he said.
