PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas) will soon enforce tariffs on the Sinaksak-Simpang Panei Toll Road, part of Section 4 of the Kuala Tanjung-Tebingtinggi-Parapat (Kutepat) Toll Road in Indonesia. Hamawas Technical Director Jimmy Leonard stated that the tariff enforcement follows a function-worthiness test conducted on 17-19 November 2025 and will be announced shortly. The toll road has been operating without charge since 1 May 2026 and was opened functionally during the 2026 Christmas and New Year period and the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday. Based on the test results, the road met all technical and operational requirements and obtained a five-star Operational Worthiness Certificate (SLO). The tariff enforcement also follows the issuance of Minister of Public Works Decree Number 6938/KPTS/Mn/2026 dated 3 June 2026. Hamawas is conducting public outreach and education to ensure users are informed before the tariffs take effect, while also continuing efforts to improve service quality through road maintenance, sign and marking checks, drainage upkeep, area beautification, and staff training. The toll tariffs, as stipulated in the ministerial decree, vary by vehicle class and entry-exit point. For example, from Kuala Tanjung to IC Simpang Panei, the fare is Rp105,000 for Class I, Rp157,500 for Classes II and III, and Rp210,000 for Classes IV and V. Hamawas urges all toll road users to ensure sufficient electronic card balances and to comply with driving regulations, including a speed limit of 60-80 km/h and using the hard shoulder only in emergencies. Users encountering difficulties or observing emergency situations can contact the Tol Kutepat Call Centre.
