Hamas Outraged as Ben-Gvir Leads Extremists in Talmudic Ritual at Al-Aqsa

The Palestinian militant group Hamas has strongly condemned the recent unauthorised entry into the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex in occupied East Jerusalem by Israeli National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir. Hamas considers this provocative action to be a dangerous escalation in Israel’s policy towards the Islamic holy site.

Ben-Gvir entered the Al-Aqsa complex under heavy escort by Israeli occupation police. Several photographs circulating on social media depict him performing Talmudic rituals near the Dome of the Rock.

Hamas stated that Ben-Gvir’s repeated incursions are part of a broader, systematic Israeli effort to “desecrate and Judaise” the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Palestinian resistance group described the latest incident as an “overt attack” on the sanctity of the mosque. The action is also seen as a total disregard for the feelings of Muslims and the religious status of Al-Aqsa across the Islamic world.

Hamas further linked this escalation to the upcoming Israeli General Election scheduled for 27 October. The Israeli political elite are accused of deliberately exploiting the electoral moment to intensify attacks against Palestinians, their land, and their holy sites.

The Israeli National Security Minister, representing the far-right faction, once again stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex alongside a group of Jewish settlers. This action violates the long-standing status quo agreement established between Israel and Jordan.
