Halodoc records sustained rise in mental health consultations since Eid al-Fitr
Halodoc Chief Marketing Officer Fibriyani Elastria revealed that mental health consultations on the platform have been rising since before Eid al-Fitr 2026 and have continued to increase up to now.
Halodoc initially anticipated the surge would be seasonal, linked to Ramadan or Eid, but the trend has persisted to this day.
“We noticed an increase two weeks before this year’s Eid. Initially, we thought it was seasonal, but that was not the case. It has continued to rise since then and is still increasing. It seems there is genuine concern that may be growing over time in society,” Fibriyani said during an interview after Halodoc’s 10th-anniversary media gathering in Jakarta on Monday.
Halodoc also found that users are more open discussing mental health issues with the company’s AI-powered digital assistant, HILDA, compared to speaking directly to humans.
“Another interesting observation is that some cases show people are more forthcoming with HILDA or AI than with humans at the initial stage,” Fibriyani said.
Additionally, Fibriyani highlighted another interesting fact: mental health consultations on Halodoc predominantly occur between 10pm and 2am.
“The interesting point is that mental health consultations are most prevalent during late hours, from 10pm to 2am,” she added.
According to a University of Gadjah Mada journal, Halodoc’s user base reached 20 million by March 2024. This year, the digital healthcare company marks its tenth anniversary in Indonesia.
