Halodoc is strengthening its end-to-end digital health ecosystem through innovations designed to enhance user experience, including Halodoc on WhatsApp and Family Care features, as the company marks its 10th anniversary in Indonesia.

Halodoc Chief Operating Officer Alfonsius Timboel said the company is committed to developing more proactive and relevant health services that meet public needs.

“Ten years ago, we started Halodoc with a simple question: why is healthcare access still unequal for many Indonesians? Today, we are grateful to serve millions of Indonesians, from doctor consultations, medicine purchases, laboratory services, to family health monitoring,” Alfonsius said at the Halodoc 10th Anniversary Media Gathering in Jakarta on Monday.

One innovation introduced is Halodoc on WhatsApp, an enhancement of the AI digital assistant HILDA, which has recorded over 2 million user interaction sessions since its launch in 2025.

The service allows users to access health information, purchase medicine, and receive medical service recommendations directly via WhatsApp without needing to download the app or log in.

Additionally, Halodoc launched the Family Care feature for caregivers, family companions, or nurses caring for family members who require treatment, whether they are ill or need special attention.

The feature enables users to add separate health profiles for each family member, complete with medical records, health history, schedules, and preventive care in a single integrated view.

Meanwhile, for healthcare professionals, Halodoc has strengthened service quality through Halodoc Academy, which has attracted over 123,000 participants and conducted 180 training sessions for doctors, pharmacists, midwives, nurses, and other healthcare workers.

At the same event, Dr Irwan Heriyanto, MARS, Halodoc’s Chief Medical Officer, emphasised that all company innovations prioritise clinical safety and do not replace healthcare professionals.

“None of our innovations are designed to replace healthcare professionals; instead, technology and innovations are here to enhance the services they provide,” Irwan said.
