Hallo Stroke: A Digital Health Application Developed Through Collaboration Between UNG, Monash University, UI and Unsrat
To improve access to healthcare services, researchers at Gorontalo State University (UNG) have introduced “Hallo Stroke,” a digital health application for the public.
Hallo Stroke was developed through collaboration with Monash University, the University of Indonesia (UI), and Sam Ratulangi University (Unsrat). The application development also involved health and disability communities, including the Indonesian Stroke Foundation and the Indonesian Disability Association (PPDI).
The launch of the Hallo Stroke application simultaneously demonstrates that university innovation can provide tangible solutions to public health problems.
With the introduction of this application, the researchers hope that the public will find it increasingly easy to obtain accurate health information, increase awareness of the dangers of stroke, and minimise the risk of serious consequences resulting from delayed treatment of stroke patients.
The application serves as an educational medium and health service to help the public recognise stroke symptoms and obtain faster and more appropriate treatment.
Dr Muhammad Isman Jusuf, a researcher at the Faculty of Medicine at UNG, explained that the Hallo Stroke application was developed as a form of digital innovation in healthcare aimed at increasing public awareness of the dangers of stroke.
