Halim Toll Gate Busiest During 2026 Eid Return Traffic
Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad recorded a significant surge in vehicle volume during the peak of the Eid holiday return on Tuesday (24/03/2026). This increase was observed at several toll gates leading to the Jabodetabek and West Java regions. The Halim Toll Gate (GT) became one of the points with the highest traffic volume, namely 72,161 vehicles, an increase of 26.46% compared to normal conditions of 57,064 vehicles. Meanwhile, the most significant surge occurred at GT Cikunir 6, with a recorded vehicle volume of 22,680 units, up 273.09% from normal conditions of 6,079 vehicles. On the other hand, GT Ciawi 2 also experienced a significant increase with a total of 53,239 vehicles, up 70.09% compared to normal conditions of 31,301 vehicles. In the West Java region, an increase in traffic volume also occurred for vehicles leaving Bandung and Rancaekek towards Jakarta. The total vehicles recorded reached 79,653 units, an increase of 43.79% compared to normal conditions of 55,396 vehicles. At GT Cileunyi on the Padaleunyi Toll Road, 45,260 vehicles were recorded heading to Jakarta or Bandung and surrounding areas, up 62.54% from normal conditions of 27,845 vehicles. Meanwhile, vehicles heading to Rancaekek, Garut, and surrounding areas reached 34,346 units, up 7.94% from normal conditions of 31,821 vehicles. At GT Pasteur on the Padaleunyi Toll Road, the vehicle volume leaving Bandung towards Jakarta was recorded at 34,393 units, an increase of 24.83% compared to normal conditions of 27,551 vehicles. Senior General Manager of Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division, Widiyatmiko Nursejati, advised road users to prepare their journeys well. “We urge the public to prepare themselves before travelling by ensuring the vehicle is roadworthy, the driver’s condition is optimal, and paying attention to sufficient fuel and e-toll balance for a comfortable journey,” said Widiyatmiko, quoted from an official statement on Wednesday (25/03/2026).
