Jakarta (ANTARA) - The organisation of the 2026 Eid transportation at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport in Jakarta is running smoothly and normally, with support from improved facilities and services for passengers.

The General Manager of Operations for the HLP KSO, Angga Pranata, stated that airport operations during the Eid period have proceeded without significant obstacles so far.

“Overall, operations at Halim are running smoothly and normally. With the Eid Transportation Command Post, we are ensuring increased comfort, safety, and security for travellers, both during departure and upon their return to Jakarta,” Angga told ANTARA in Jakarta on Friday.

He explained that various efforts have been made to support this smoothness, including enhancements to terminal facilities.

He mentioned that Halim Perdanakusuma Airport has expanded the Batik Air boarding lounge, particularly at gates 8, 9, and 10.

“We hope this expansion will not only help during Eid but also accommodate annual passenger growth,” he said.

In addition to facility improvements, Halim Airport has recorded the addition of new flight routes that support connectivity during the Eid period.

Citilink airline has opened a return route from Jakarta to Pagar Alam with a frequency of twice a week, namely every Tuesday and Friday.

Angga noted that based on initial observations, the route has received a positive response from the public with a fairly high passenger occupancy rate.
