Half a Million People Apply for Jobs via West Java Provincial Government's Nyari Gawe App
The Nyari Gawe app is increasingly relied upon by the people of West Java to find work. Since its launch in October 2025 until 10 April 2026, 374,567 job seekers have registered on the Nyari Gawe app, with the number of job applications through the app reaching 518,213 people.
The Head of the Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans) of West Java, I Gusti Agung Kim Fajar Wiyati Oka, stated that job seekers come from various regions in West Java such as Karawang Regency, Subang Regency, and Bandung City. There are also job seekers from outside West Java.
“A number of job applications have been followed up by companies. The details are: 1,198 applicants are being reviewed by companies, 2,016 applicants have been interviewed, and 493 applicants have been accepted for work,” said Kim Agung in a written statement on Friday (17/4/2026).
The total number of companies providing job vacancies through the Nyari Gawe app is currently 71 companies. The public can choose from several job fields provided.
“There are 337 job vacancy titles that can be applied for, ranging from chefs, telemarketers, accounting staff, to general practitioners,” she said.
She stated that the West Java Provincial Government continues to assist the public so that the job application process through the Nyari Gawe app runs smoothly.
“Public complaints are always handled and resolved, such as login issues, data entry problems, forgotten account access, OTP issues, and complaints about job vacancies. The total number of complaints handled is 51,” she concluded.
