Halalbihalal 2026: Untar Boosts the Spirit of Change and Renewal
The momentum and spirit of this year’s Eid al-Fitr emphasise the importance of reflection and self-renewal, which apply not only personally but also to the management of higher education institutions. In his official statement, Rector of Universitas Tarumanagara (Untar), Prof. Dr. Amad Sudiro, asserted that universities can no longer merely follow changes but must become the agents creating those changes themselves.
During the Halalbihalal event for the Untar extended family at the Jakarta Campus last week, he invited the entire academic community to step forward more progressively by prioritising creativity, innovation, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Amad also reminded that harmony and togetherness in the campus environment form a crucial foundation for nurturing new spirit towards Untar’s advancement.
In line with this, the Chairman of the Tarumanagara Foundation Board, Prof. Dr. Ariawan Gunadi, explained that this year’s Halalbihalal theme, “Beyond Forgiveness, Toward Unity,” is a call to go beyond mere mutual forgiveness towards strengthening unity and concrete actions. Ariawan stressed that 2026 represents an important momentum for Untar to expand collaborations, both at national and international levels. With a spirit of collaboration and strong work commitment, every individual in the Untar environment is expected to have broad opportunities to develop while strengthening synergy and innovation on campus.
In addition to focusing on internal development, Untar also expressed full support for government recommendations regarding efficiency amid current global dynamics. Rector Prof. Amad Sudiro stated that efficiency is achieved through strengthening digitalisation, adjusting programme priorities, and improving governance effectiveness to optimise resources without sacrificing quality. From an academic perspective, this step is viewed as a positive momentum to drive technology-based innovation that can enhance students’ learning experiences.
The Tarumanagara Foundation also commits to fully supporting these efficiency policies as an effort to maintain stability and the sustainability of national development. Prof. Ariawan added that this efficiency is interpreted as optimisation through technology utilisation and strengthening cross-unit synergy. While ensuring superior learning quality, Untar strives to strengthen an adaptive, innovative, and relevant education model in facing increasingly complex global challenges.
