Halal Certification Payments at Bank Muamalat Rise 30.9 Percent to June 2026
PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia Tbk recorded a significant increase in online payments for halal certification fees to the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), with growth of 30.9 percent year-on-year (yoy) as of June 2026. The company also recorded an increase in the number of transactions, with growth reaching 49.1 percent (yoy) in the same period. Bank Muamalat Director Ricky Rikardo Mulyadi stated that the ease for business actors to pay certification fees online aligns with the company’s efforts to support the development of the halal industry in the country. He added that halal certification needs to be linked with halal transactions, so that the Sharia economy will gain sustainable growth momentum. ‘Digital advancement in the country is an advantage for the Sharia financial industry. With a digital approach, product halal certification is expected to be developed as a gateway for transactions, from payments and financing to integrated Sharia fund management,’ Ricky said. The company stated it continues to improve its digital infrastructure capabilities to integrate with the online halal ecosystem.
