JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - PT Hakaaston or HKA is optimising facilities and operational services in four toll road regions during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return traffic period up to 2026 to maintain smooth travel for road users. Throughout this period, HKA is strengthening its operational focus on seamless transactions at toll gates and the quality of services across all managed sections. As the operator, HKA ensures that toll booth functions, patrol team readiness, and the reliability of supporting facilities are in optimal condition. These efforts aim to minimise travel obstacles, particularly at vital points passed by holiday travellers. Coordination in each operational region is also being enhanced to keep vehicle flow running smoothly. “During this homecoming and return traffic period, we are conducting real-time traffic data monitoring to map busy locations. Thus, the placement of additional personnel and Mobile Reader units can be carried out swiftly,” he said on Friday (27/3/2026). According to him, these steps are focused on ensuring that services on the routes and at toll gates do not become obstacles for holiday travellers. Based on operational data, HKA’s readiness is evident from its ability to anticipate spikes in traffic volume in four main regions. In the North Sumatra region, the Medan-Binjai Toll Road section recorded a 120 percent increase in entering vehicles at the Stabat Toll Gate on 23 March 2026. This situation was anticipated through the maximum operation of toll booths, especially during peak hours. Meanwhile, in the Central Sumatra region on the Pekanbaru-XIII Koto Kampar section, HKA prepared additional personnel at the Sungai Pinang Toll Gate on 25 March to speed up transaction processes amid rising vehicle volumes. In South Sumatra, the Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar section via the Itera Kotabaru Toll Gate recorded an 86 percent increase in exiting vehicles on 24 March. This point serves as the main access from the port direction, making the readiness of officers a key factor in maintaining smooth flow towards Palembang. In the Jabodetabek region, on the JORR-S Toll Road section, HKA is maintaining the reliability of transaction equipment at the Cilandak Utama 2 Toll Gate. HKA states that it will continue to prepare operational services and personnel across all its managed toll sections until the 2026 Eid period ends, to ensure that road users’ journeys remain safe and comfortable.
