Haka Auto Claims 20% Contribution to BYD's Indonesian Sales
The dealership network is a key factor behind BYD’s rapid growth in Indonesia. Haka Auto, one of the largest contributors, has become a primary sales partner for BYD in the country.
Hariyadi Kaimuddin, CEO of Haka Auto, stated that his company plays a crucial role in BYD’s market penetration. “Generally, we contribute around 20% of BYD’s sales, with Denza slightly higher at 25%,” he said in Jakarta on Monday, 25 May 2026. “The contribution depends on the number of branches we’ve opened,” he added.
Hariyadi claimed Haka Auto is currently one of BYD’s largest dealership groups in Indonesia, holding the second position in sales.
The expansion of the dealership network continues to strengthen BYD’s market penetration across various regions. To date, Haka Auto operates dozens of BYD branches in Indonesia.
This network expansion is vital in supporting the growth of the national electric vehicle market, especially amid rising consumer interest in electrified vehicles.
Beyond expanding consumer access to products, the dealership network also plays a role in after-sales service, EV technology education, and providing service facilities and charging infrastructure.
The Chinese manufacturer has successfully dominated the national EV market with a market share exceeding 57% by the end of 2025.
Widening dealership support has been a key factor in strengthening market penetration.
With ongoing network growth and increasing sales contributions, Haka Auto is likely to become a significant player in BYD’s expansion within Indonesia’s electric vehicle market in the coming years.
