JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The peak phase of the 2026 Hajj in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna) has officially concluded after all Indonesian pilgrims left Mina and returned to their respective hotels in Mecca. Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah (Wamenhaj) RI Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak stated that the peak phase of Hajj in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna) has been completed. All Indonesian pilgrims who undertook Nafar Tsani have been confirmed to have left Mina and returned to their respective hotels in Mecca. ‘Today marks the departure of pilgrims performing Nafar Tsani, the final group following yesterday’s Nafar Awal departure. This means all pilgrims who completed the stoning of the jamarat, whether Nafar Awal or Nafar Tsani, have finished,’ Dahnil said in a statement on Saturday, 30 May 2026. All Indonesian pilgrims’ tents have been confirmed empty with no pilgrims left behind. ‘All our pilgrims have left Mina. Mina is now clear of pilgrims. They have returned to hotels and are preparing for further activities in the Holy Land,’ he added. A total of 137,565 pilgrims, approximately 68% of Indonesia’s Hajj contingent, were repatriated in phases from Mina to Mecca. Harun Arrasyid Usman, Coordinator of the Arafah Muzdalifah and Mina Operations Unit (Satop Armuzna), said the first group departed was JKB 11 from Markaz 74 at 07:05 WAS, while the last group was UPG 22 from Markaz 50 at 16:30 WAS. ‘We confirm all (Nafar Awal) pilgrims have reached their respective hotels,’ Harun said. Although the Armuzna phase proceeded well, Dahnil acknowledged several key points requiring evaluation by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah. ‘Alhamdulillah, the Armuzna phase has been successfully completed with significant improvements and changes,’ Dahnil said. However, he highlighted issues with services in the Arafah and Mina tents, including accommodation management in Muzdalifah via the murur scheme, which requires improvement.
