Hajj Preparation Requires More Than Intention: Information Is Essential
JAKARTA — The intention to perform the Hajj should be accompanied by thorough preparation. Prospective pilgrims need to understand the available programmes, requirements, costs and departure arrangements before deciding to travel to the Holy Land.
The importance of access to such information has prompted Jannah Firdaus Tour & Travel to partner with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) through the Haji Pasti programme. The partnership was formalised with the signing of a memorandum of understanding at a gathering and marketing-network meeting between the two parties recently.
Jannah Firdaus Tour & Travel chief executive H Wael Ahmed said the collaboration was expected to extend the reach of information about Hajj travel programmes and help the public understand the preparations involved. Prospective pilgrims, he said, need clear explanations of the programmes, requirements, payment mechanisms and departure terms.
Understanding these matters from the outset can help people plan their pilgrimage according to their needs and means. Wael also urged the public to choose pilgrimage travel organisers carefully by checking their legal status, programme details, and payment and departure terms.
“Deciding to perform the Hajj is no small matter. It requires strong intention, thorough preparation and clear information so that each stage can be undertaken with greater peace of mind,” he said.
BSI Area Manager Andi Oky said the partnership also aimed to strengthen coordination among branches, agents and sub-agents so that information about the Hajj programme could reach more people. Information about Hajj and Umrah programmes is also being presented at the BSI International Expo 2026 at the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Senayan, from 23 to 25 October 2026.
Jannah Firdaus Tour & Travel director H Rahmat Syam Karya Putra said the public could use the exhibition to seek advice and learn about pilgrimage travel options. The event also includes a discussion on Hajj and Umrah packages with Jannah Firdaus management and Sheikh Muhammad Jaber, scheduled for 6pm Western Indonesian Time on 24 October 2026.
Ultimately, preparing for the journey to the Baitullah involves more than intention; it also requires careful travel planning. Clear information, a good understanding of the terms and planning that reflects one’s means are essential before prospective pilgrims make their choice.
