Hajj Pilgrims Urged to Rest After Armuzna
Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, has urged all Indonesian Hajj pilgrims to maintain their health after completing the peak rituals in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna). According to Dahnil, the post-Armuzna period is crucial for pilgrims to recover their stamina before subsequent schedules, including preparations for returning to Indonesia and visiting Medina. “We urge pilgrims to rest more and avoid overexerting themselves with unofficial activities,” Dahnil said in Mina on Saturday, 30 May 2026. He also called on Hajj Guidance Groups (KBIH), kloter leaders, and all pilgrim escorts to maintain order while in Saudi Arabia. Unofficial activities such as city tours or religious visits outside the official schedule should not be undertaken excessively to ensure pilgrims’ safety and health. Furthermore, Dahnil stressed that all activities involving pilgrims must be reported to the leadership. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will impose strict sanctions on those who fail to comply. “All activities involving pilgrims must be coordinated and reported to the kloter leadership. Any party disregarding this rule will face strict action,” he said.
