Hajj Pilgrims Urged to Adhere to All Regulations During Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina Phases

The Indonesian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s Inspector General has urged all parties, including pilgrims and Hajj officials, to comply with all established regulations during the Hajj rituals, particularly in Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna). Regional Inspector III of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Mulyadi Nurdin, stated that he and Inspector General Dendi Suryadi (Retired Major General of the Indonesian National Army) have conducted outreach to all sectors in Mecca recently to ensure uniformity among officials in serving Hajj pilgrims. ‘Inspector General Dendi Suryadi has been conducting marathon briefings across all sectors in Mecca through roll calls, with the expectation that the information is not only followed by officials but also communicated to all pilgrims,’ said Mulyadi Nurdin. He stressed that all parties must adhere to regulations during the peak Hajj period, whether issued by the Indonesian or Saudi Arabian governments. ‘Both nations have established rules to ensure the success of the Hajj, which apply to both pilgrims and officials,’ said the RI National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) alumnus. He added that all government regulations are designed to ensure the safety of Hajj pilgrims. He cited strict arrangements by both Saudi and Indonesian governments during the movement of pilgrims from Mecca to Arafah, Arafah to Muzdalifah, Muzdalifah to Mina, and during their stay in Mina for both the ‘murur’ (departure) and ‘tanazul’ (descent) phases.
