The Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) of the Makassar Embarkation, South Sulawesi, has expressed appreciation for the services provided by pilgrimage officials following the return of Flight Group (Kloter) 9, with all pilgrims arriving in the same numbers as when they departed.

The Chairman of the Makassar Embarkation PPIH, Ikbal Ismail, stated in Makassar on Monday that Group 9, which is predominantly composed of pilgrims from Gowa and Bone Regencies, landed at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, Makassar, at 09:52 WITA.

“Alhamdulillah, all pilgrims in this group have returned to the homeland intact, just as they were upon departure, and the pilgrimage services provided by the officials were also very satisfying,” he said.

Ikbal Ismail, who also serves as the Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for South Sulawesi, revealed that the returning group consisted of 3arr 341 pilgrims from Gowa Regency, 44 from Bone Regency, one from Makassar City, and one from Maluku.

“The total is 393 people, including six group officials who accompanied them, including the group leader, religious guides, medical personnel, nurses, and regional pilgrimage officers,” he added.

He further explained that the safe return was the result of the hard work of the group officials, group leaders, and team leaders who accompanied the pilgrims from departure until their return to Indonesia.

Ikbal Ismail elaborated that pilgrimage services involve more than just technical travel and accommodation; they also require attentive care and assistance for pilgrims, particularly the elderly and those using wheelchairs.

Upon arrival at the Hajj Dormitory, he spoke directly with several pilgrims, most of whom expressed satisfaction with the services received during their pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

“I asked the pilgrims directly about their hotels, food, transportation, and the services provided by the officials. Alhamdulillah, they expressed satisfaction. This demonstrates that the humanitarian efforts of the officials have been carried out very effectively,” he concluded.
