Banjarmasin - Hajj pilgrims from Group 12 of the Banjarmasin embarkation point, originating from South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan, have arrived back in Indonesia after performing the Hajj pilgrimage in the Holy Land. Chairman of the Hajj Organising Committee for the Banjarmasin embarkation point, H Eddy Khairani, stated at the Hajj dormitory in Banjarbaru on Sunday that the Group 12 pilgrims arrived today at Syamsudin Noor International Airport in Banjarmasin. “Hajj Group 12 consists of 360 people,” he said. According to Eddy, the arrival of Group 12 proceeded smoothly, and they were taken to the Hajj dormitory to participate in a welcome ceremony and receive a meal. “After that, they are sent back to their respective regions,” he explained. With the arrival of Group 12, the total number of Hajj pilgrims from the Banjarmasin embarkation point who have returned home now stands at 4,303. “There are still seven groups remaining in the Holy Land,” he noted. Eddy stated that the return of Hajj pilgrims from the Banjarmasin embarkation point began on 4 June and is scheduled to conclude on 1 July 2026. He remarked that the Hajj journey is one full of struggle and sacrifice. Upon returning home, the real challenge is maintaining the spirit of worship, sincerity, patience, and social awareness that was forged during their time in the Holy Land. “May all the pilgrims become Hajj and Hajjah who are mabrur and bring blessings to their families, communities, regions, and the nation,” he said.
