Hajj Pilgrims from Group 12 Arrive Back in Banjarmasin

Banjarmasin — The 12th group of Hajj pilgrims from the Banjarmasin embarkation point, covering South Kalimantan and Central Kalimantan and originating from South Hulu Sungai, have arrived in the country after completing their pilgrimage in the Holy Land.

The Chairman of the Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) for the Banjarmasin embarkation, H. Eddy Khairani, stated at the Hajj dormitory in Banjarbaru on Sunday that the Group 12 pilgrims arrived today at Syamsuddin Noor International Airport, Banjarmasin.

“There are 360 pilgrims in Group 12,” he said.

According to Eddy, the arrival of the Group 12 pilgrims proceeded smoothly, and they were transported to the Hajj dormitory to participate in the welcoming ceremony and a communal meal.

“After that, they will be sent back to their respective regions,” he explained.

With the arrival of Group 12, the total number of Hajj pilgrims from the Banjarmasin embarkation who have returned to the country stands at 4,303.

“There are still seven groups remaining in the Holy Land,” he added.

Eddy noted that the return of pilgrims from the Banjarmasin embarkation began on 4 June and is scheduled to continue until 1 July 2026.

He remarked that the Hajj is a journey of great struggle and sacrifice. He added that upon returning home, the true challenge lies in maintaining the spirit of worship, sincerity, patience, and social concern that was forged during their time in the Holy Land.

“May all pilgrims become mabrur (accepted) Hajj and Hajjah, bringing blessings to their families, communities, regions, and the nation,” he said.
