Hajj pilgrims from Bone Regency arrive in Indonesia
Makassar (ANTARA) - The third flight group (Kloter 03) of Hajj pilgrims from Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, has arrived in the country via the Makassar Debarkation point (UPG), disembarking directly through a prepared boarding bridge.
The Secretary of the Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) for the Makassar Debarkation, Asa Afif Bahri, stated in Makassar on Wednesday that this group arrived at 1:50 PM WITA and proceeded directly through the aerobridge provided by airport officials.
“For all Hajj pilgrims this year, the boarding bridge service is being implemented for the first time. Therefore, from the initial group to the final group, passengers will disembark from the aircraft and enter directly via the aerobridge,” he said.
Asa Afif Bahri revealed that the arriving pilgrims will be accommodated at the Sudiang Hajj Dormitory in Makassar, where they must undergo health examinations before being handed over to their respective local governments.
He stated that all pilgrims, once declared healthy and fit, will be transported directly to their home regions, where they are to be met by local heads of government or their representatives.
However, for any pilgrims experiencing exhaustion following the long journey, assistance and medical care will be provided to allow for rest before they are sent home.
“That is the procedure when arriving in the country; they are not taken directly to their home regions. They must first rest at the Hajj dormitory while being monitored by the medical team, and once they are sufficiently fit, they will return to their regions,” he added.
The third flight group consists of 392 individuals, including Hajj assistants such as the group leader, religious guides, Hajj health workers, nurses, and regional Hajj officers.
