Hajj Pilgrims Arrive in Mina for Tarwiyah Ahead of Arafah Wuquf
Hajj pilgrims have arrived in Mina to observe Tarwiyah on Monday (26 May 2026) amid a spiritual atmosphere. They are preparing for the Wuquf at Arafah on Tuesday (26 May), the pinnacle of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.
According to a report by Saudi Gazette on Tuesday (26 May), Mina’s entry points witnessed a high influx of pilgrims, with on-ground monitoring by security, health, and service sectors. Officials are deploying their capabilities to receive pilgrims and provide necessary care upon arrival at designated camps.
Tarwiyah is considered a key stage in the Hajj ritual, where pilgrims proceed to Mina to spend the day and night there in accordance with the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), before continuing their journey at dawn on 9 Dhu al-Hijjah (Tuesday) to Arafah for the Wuquf, the largest pillar of Hajj.
Earlier on Monday, pilgrims arrived and stayed in Mina to observe Tarwiyah. The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, through its field teams and operational centres, is monitoring pilgrim arrivals at Mina camps and the quality of services provided, including accommodation, food, guidance, and support services, in coordination with all entities within the Hajj ecosystem.
