MINA, KOMPAS.com - The culmination of the Hajj rituals in the areas of Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina (Armuzna) has now concluded. All Indonesian pilgrims have returned to their respective accommodations in Makkah to rest. At precisely 15:00 Saudi Arabia time, all Indonesian camp areas were confirmed empty. ‘All our pilgrims who have completed the stoning of the jamarat, whether the first or second departure, have finished,’ stated Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah (Wamenhaj), Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak, on Saturday, 30 May 2026. All Hajj pilgrims have returned to hotels and are preparing to engage in activities in the Haram. Overall, the execution of the critical Armuzna phase this year is claimed to have been successful with many improvements. However, there are still several areas for improvement, particularly regarding tent facilities and pilgrim movement schemes. ‘We have received feedback from various parties. Concerning services at the Mina tents, Arafah tents, as well as the management of overnight stays in Muzdalifah and the movement process, these will form the basis for our evaluation,’ he said. ‘On behalf of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, we apologise. During the peak Armuzna phase, there were certainly some issues, mistakes, and shortcomings. All deficiencies are our responsibility,’ he stressed. He also praised the discipline of the pilgrims and the unwavering efforts of the field officers. ‘Once again, thank you to the pilgrims for their strict adherence to protocol. Thank you also to all officers who dedicated themselves in Mina. May all our efforts be blessed by Allah SWT.’
