Hajj Organisers: Five Aceh Pilgrims Undergoing Medical Treatment in Saudi Arabia

The Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) for the Aceh embarkation has reported that five prospective Hajj pilgrims from Aceh are undergoing treatment in several hospitals in Saudi Arabia, with two of them already permitted to return to their accommodation.

“Five prospective pilgrims are being treated in Saudi Arabia; they fell ill upon their arrival there,” stated the Chairman of the Aceh Embarkation PPIH, Arijante, in Banda Aceh on Monday.

Three pilgrims from Aceh are still receiving medical care in Saudi Arabia, namely Safiruddin bin Ismail and Zainab Ibrahim Amin, both from Aceh Besar Regency, and Abdullah Ahmad from North Aceh. All three are being treated at King Abdul Aziz Hospital. Meanwhile, two individuals have returned to their accommodation following treatment: Tihasanah Ubit Ibrahim from Pidie Regency and Zulkarnaini Ab from East Aceh, who were previously treated at Jiwar Medical Hospital.

In addition to those in Saudi Arabia, Arijante noted that three prospective pilgrims were treated in Aceh after falling ill while at the Aceh Embarkation Hajj Dormitory. Currently, only one person remains under medical care in the region. These individuals include Muhammad Waita from South Aceh (who will fly to Makkah once recovered in Group 10), Sakum Muhamadin Abdullah from Southeast Aceh, who has been sent back to his home region, and lyas Nanyek Muhammad from South Aceh, who is still receiving treatment.

“Regarding the pilgrims treated in Aceh, one person has recovered and departed for the Holy Land, one has recovered and been sent back to their home region, and one remains under treatment at the Zainoel Abidin Regional General Hospital (RSUZA) in Banda Aceh,” Arijante added.
