Hajj Organisers Dispatch 14 Groups of Pilgrims from Makkah to Madinah
The Indonesian Hajj Organising Committee (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia has begun transporting the second wave of Indonesian pilgrims from Makkah to Madinah. Ihsan Faisal, the Head of the Makkah Working Area for the PPIH in Saudi Arabia, stated in Makkah on Sunday that this first stage comprises 14 flight groups, carrying approximately 5,499 people.
The movement of pilgrims is being conducted on a scheduled basis between 07:00 and 18:00 Saudi Arabian Time (AST). “There are no night journeys, except for pilgrims departing in the late afternoon who may arrive in Madinah at night,” said Ihsan.
Ihsan explained that the departure process follows strict standard operating procedures (SOP). One day prior to departure, all pilgrim documentation for the initial groups must be prepared through coordination between sector officers and the management of the markaz or syarikah. “The model is the same as the arrival of pilgrims from Madinah to Makkah. The pattern is that buses arrive at the hotel four hours before departure,” Ihsan noted.
He added that once the documentation is finalised, pilgrims will be dispatched from their hotels according to the established schedule. Meanwhile, the pilgrims’ large suitcases will be transported simultaneously but via separate logistics vehicles. The 14 groups scheduled to depart from Makkah to Madinah on Sunday (7/6) include groups JKG 18, KJT 21, SUB 57, JKS 13, SUB 58, LOP 12, SUB 59, UPG 22, SUB 60, BTJ 2, PDG 12, SOC 44, SOC 45, and SUB 62.
