Hajj Flight Departure Punctuality Rate Reaches 96 Percent
Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) stated that the organisation of Hajj flights in 2026 at its managed airports proceeded smoothly, with an on-time performance (OTP) rate for departures reaching approximately 96 percent. “The organisation of Hajj flights at InJourney Airports’ airports generally proceeded smoothly, with an OTP rate of around 96 percent,” said InJourney Airports’ President Director Mohammad R Pahlevi in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday. He mentioned that during the period from 21 April to 9 May 2026, 126,097 prospective Hajj pilgrims were dispatched to the Holy Land through 14 airports managed by InJourney Airports. Over that period, the total number of Hajj flights serviced reached 322 flights. Of the total flights, 310 were on time, resulting in a cumulative OTP for Hajj departure flights at the 14 airports of 96 percent. According to him, all parties had conducted thorough planning and coordination, from the process at Hajj dormitories, the journey to the airport, to departure services at the airport and the boarding process onto the aircraft. “Meticulous planning supported by precise implementation greatly contributes to the smoothness of Hajj flight departures, hence the very high OTP,” he stated. He expressed appreciation for the excellent collaboration between InJourney Airports, the Hajj Organising Committee, airlines, AirNav Indonesia, ground handling operators, as well as support from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to the Ministry of Transportation.
