Hajj Dam Payment Can Be Done via Mobile Phone: Here's How

The National Zakat Agency (Baznas) of Indonesia is collaborating with Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) to launch features for qurban and Hajj dam payments on the BYOND by BSI mobile application, making it easier for the public to fulfil their sacrificial and compensation obligations. Chairman of Baznas RI, Sodik Mudjahid, stated in Jakarta on Tuesday (12/5/2026) that this partnership is part of transforming qurban services to be more accessible to the wider community via digital platforms. “We are committed to providing safe, transparent qurban and dam services that offer convenience for the public in performing their worship. This digitalisation is expected to expand public participation while strengthening the spirit of sharing with brothers and sisters in need across Indonesia,” he said. Sodik also conveyed that this year Baznas is promoting the “Kurban Berkah Berdayakan Desa” campaign, involving trained breeders in various regions of Indonesia as providers of sacrificial animals. The programme not only facilitates the public in performing qurban but also serves as an effort to strengthen village economies through empowering local breeders and reinforcing the ummah’s economic chain.
