JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf stated that preparations for the 2026 Hajj services are increasingly mature, nearly 100 percent complete. Irfan noted that the government has prepared everything, from accommodation and meals to transportation and healthcare services for Hajj pilgrims. “Hajj service preparations are almost 100 percent complete. The current stage involves final checks of all services ahead of Hajj operations,” Irfan said during a press conference at the Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/4/2026). In the Mecca region, accommodations are located in Jarwal, Misfalah, Raudhah, Syisyah, and Aziziah. In Medina, all hotels are in the Markaziah area. Additionally, he said, healthcare services are ready, with the government preparing 40 clinics in Mecca and 5 clinics in Medina. “Each kloter consists of one doctor and one healthcare worker,” he stated. Irfan also confirmed that Nusuk cards have arrived in Indonesia. Currently, the distribution and activation process is underway before departure. Meals for Hajj pilgrims are also on standby. In Mecca, the government has prepared 51 kitchens, while in Medina there are 23 kitchens. Furthermore, Irfan mentioned that the government has prepared buses for three purposes. The first purpose is inter-city buses to transport pilgrims on the Jeddah-Mecca-Medina route. The second is selawat buses, which will serve pilgrim movements 24 hours a day to the Masjidil Haram. The third is masyair buses, which will serve Indonesian Hajj pilgrims while in Arafah-Muzdalifah-Mina. The last departure is scheduled for 21 May 2026.
